You can explore our beautiful surroundings on foot or using the high-quality bicycles we provide with this cottage. There are abundant quiet country lanes to walk or cycle starting from the lodge. Accommodation
Early arrival is available from 2.00 pm. You will be greeted by the smell of hot crusty bread and homemade soup, plus a vase of flowers and a bowl of fresh fruit on the table.
Although this lodge is exclusively for two persons, it has the floor area of a four-person holiday cottage. It is a very spacious detached boutique holiday cottage all on one level, with wonderful country views throughout and full central heating.
The relaxing living room boasts a stunning stone fireplace and a remote-controlled log-burner. There is solid light oak furniture and flooring throughout, with silk curtains and upholstered window seats. A Harmon Kardon sound system (CD, digital radio and iPod bridge) in the lounge has additional ceiling speakers in both the bedroom and bathroom / wet room with separate wall-mounted controls. A 42 inch flat-screen plasma TV, a DVD player with a selection of DVDs / CDs, a direct dial-in phone, and free Wi-Fi are also included.
The kitchen area is particularly light and sunny as it has both a huge glass roof-light and the entire south wall is a gorgeous feature with oak-framed glass and doors (privacy blinds fitted) leading out to a private patio and garden. Here you will find garden furniture and fresh herbs for cooking.
The superbly designed blue English oak kitchen has granite surfaces and a granite-centre workstation / dining table. The fitted appliances include a ceramic hob, electric fan oven, steam oven, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, washer / drier and microwave. Quality crockery, glassware, cutlery and many other extras are provided, including an electric bread maker, coffee grinder and soup maker.
The super-king bedroom has a 3000 pocket sprung mattress and offers a choice of duvet tog rating and pillows preference. The window seat overlooks the lawn and there is a flat-screen LED wall-mounted TV and sound system. Bathrobes are provided, along with slippers for you to take home.
The en-suite comprises a fully-tiled generous bathroom with intergral sound system, double-ended bath and walk-in wet-room incorporating a rain shower and power-shower hose. Plentiful bath sheets and hand towels are provided.
Both the lounge and bathroom lead into a private relaxation room with a stunning, curved glass Far Infrared Sauna made from non-allergenic / non-toxic Canadian hemlock. The sauna, which is simple to operate, heats up in minutes and offers significant health benefits for everyone. Privacy blinds and silk curtains to are fitted in both the bedroom and sauna room. Sauna towels are provided.
